- The Betascape – Haven for Experiments
Artscape unlocks a tent for innovations and experiments. “We thought it made sense to launch a tech festival at an already exciting and well attended Baltimore event,” Heather Sarkissian said. She didn’t anticipate that there will be 100 percent crowd or overlap the percentages but the energy in the city surrounding the event should be helpful for getting the people fuel up for the festivities.
There are “Do It Yourself Groups” which will show people their own creations, including circuits, robots, T-shirts with organic light emitting diode lights, and of course, modified power tools.
Betascape is also a place for reinventions – there are modified hand-held, electrical power tools like belt sanders, drills and weed whackers so the people can race down 12-inch wide wooden tracks.
